IES5508 2-wire bus output port

IES5508 - 65 mA 8-bit bus output port for your I2C, 2-Wire, SMBus, PMBus

The IES5508 is a 65mA, 8-bit bus output port that can be used as a general-purpose output drive or simple LED driver via a 2-wire bus interface such as I2C, SMBus, PMbus, and other systems based on similar principles.

The 8 open drain output ports of the IES5508 can be individually selected and each output port has a capability of 65mA making them ideal for directly driving LEDs. IES5508 output state is easily determined by a programmable 8-bit register, which can be read and written via signals from the 2-wire bus.

The IES5508 is compatible with the 2-wire 30mA Fast-mode plus (Fm+) bus, so it can be run in excess of 1MHz or up to 4000pF capacitance. As such, the IES5508 can be connected to other 2-wire devices across long cable connections.

Connect the IES5508 with the IES5515 (simple 2-wire bus buffer) or IES5507 (2-wire 4-way bus multiplexer) to achieve high speed or high-capacitance drive for your applications.
